Residential Wind Turbine success story in Michigan

Sam and Christine Simonetta keep the power running in their Deerton home with a 140 ft. tall wind turbine.  It generates as much as 150 kWh on the best of days, more than enough to keep the lights on, heat the home, and charge the converted electric truck for the summer months. The turbine has generated more than $10,000 worth of energy since it was installed in 2010 and has also saved $1,500 on gas expenses. More details.
